Tetra selected for MassChallenge UK 2026 accelerator cohort

June 10, 2026

Tetra has been selected for the MassChallenge UK 2026 accelerator cohort.

MassChallenge is a global accelerator network supporting high-impact startups through mentorship, corporate connections, investor access and zero-equity support. The 2026 Switzerland and UK programme selected 193 early-stage startups from across 47 countries, with selected companies representing the top 10% of global applicants. Tetra is one of 71 startups joining the UK cohort.

Tetra helps hospitals plan and deliver elective care more efficiently. Its platform uses artificial intelligence and local operational data to predict realistic theatre list durations, recommend suitable patients for each operating session, and help hospital teams make better use of existing theatre capacity.

The company is focused on one of the NHS’s most persistent operational challenges: how to drive elective activity without simply adding more theatres or staff. Tetra is built for waiting list coordinators, theatre managers, service managers and operational leaders who need to reduce wasted capacity, improve RTT performance and respond quickly to changes across surgical waiting lists.

Unlike traditional approaches that rely heavily on crude procedure averages, OPCS codes or manual judgement, Tetra combines procedure-level understanding with surgeon-specific timing models and auto-detected booking constraints. The platform is designed to work with data hospitals already produce, allowing organisations to start without a major EPR integration programme.

Tetra’s selection for MassChallenge follows a period of commercial and product progress, including its trial with Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and its recent £450k pre-seed fundraise to support the development of AI-powered surgical scheduling technology.

Jamie Papasavvas, Founder and CEO of Tetra, said:

Being selected for the MassChallenge UK 2026 cohort is an important milestone for Tetra. It is also a useful signal that the problem we are working on is not just a local NHS issue. Hospitals everywhere are under pressure to do more elective work with the capacity they already have. For us, MassChallenge comes at the right moment. We have made strong early progress and are now focused on turning that into scalable commercial traction. The value of the programme is not just the badge - it is the access to people who can challenge our thinking, sharpen the company, and help us build something that can work across multiple hospital systems.

Through the MassChallenge programme, Tetra will access mentorship, expert-led workshops, corporate partners and investor networks as it continues to develop its platform and expand engagement with NHS and private hospital providers.

Tetra’s participation in the cohort also strengthens its position in the UK healthtech and AI ecosystem at a time when hospitals are under sustained pressure to improve elective recovery, reduce waiting lists and increase productivity from existing capacity.
